ENVI Engineering was the Commissioning Agent for the renovation and buildout of a 175k square foot warehouse building for the Harris County District Attorney and District Clerk. The county purchased the 1942 building in 2012 with the intent to provide records storage, constable’s office and district attorney’s office.

Harris County chose the LEED for New Construction (NC) 2009 certification inclusive of the Enhanced Commissioning process as their quality-oriented process for achieving, verifying and documenting, that the performance of their office space systems and assemblies meet their defined objectives and criteria. Systems commissioned were mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

The scope of work accomplished by ENVI included fundamental commissioning services for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems per ASHRAE Guideline 0 – The Commissioning Process. ENVI provided the LEED Credit for Energy and Atmosphere Prerequisite 1 – Fundamental Commissioning of Building Energy Systems and Energy and Atmosphere Credit 3 (EAc3) Enhanced Commissioning.
